THE SEVEN SPIRITUAL SOUNDS

As I mentioned earlier, the spiritual regions are divided into seven main regions. Each of these regions has its specific sound that can be used as a "Mantra" for meditation for the soul. These sounds pertain to differnt regions, which are placed at different planes in the spiritual world.

1. The first region from below is the region called 'Sahastradal Kanwal'; its spiritual sound is 'Niranjan'.

2. The second region from below is the region called 'Trikuti' or the region of 'Brahma'; its spiritual sound is 'Om'.

3. The third region from below is the region called 'Sunn'; its spiritual sound is 'Soham'.

4. The fourth region from below is the region called 'Mahasunn'; its spiritual sound is 'Rarang'.

5. The fifth region from below is the region called 'Bhanwargufa'; its spiritual sound is 'Sohang'.

6. The sixth region from below is the region called 'Sattlok'; its spiritual sound is 'Sat'.

7. The topmost region, seventh from below is the region called 'Radhasoami Dham'; its spiritual sound is 'Radhasoami'.

EATING IS NOT DIGESTING

Eating and Digesting are not the same; they are two very different things. Food is the basis of our health, but being healthy depends on Digesting rather than Eating. Simply putting food in the mouth is not digesting it. Putting food in the mouth is hardly of any purpose if you are not digesting it.

Eating but not digesting food, is simply like putting coal in a furnace which is not in a position to ignite properly, and expecting that furnace to produce proper heat.

Food, if digested properly brings health and enhances the natural capacity of the body to fight illness. Food eaten and not digested, brings illness and severely diminishes the natural capacity of the body to fight illness. Result being that you keep growing weak, your reliance on medicine goes on increasing, and with the increased intake of medicine the natural capacity to digest food diminishes further, making your system more weak. This scene of degradation of our natural capacity to digest food has now become such a regular part of the so called 'modern life', that to get rid of it one needs to put in a very persistent and serious effort.

Natural living and the Medicine Free, Healing Systems based on Natural Healing Energies www.viewunderstanding.blogspot.com and dkhcunderstanding.blogspot.com can be of great help in keeping the body's natural ability of digestion in order or to put it back in order.

According to the doctrine of Ayurveda, not digesting food is our first step towards any serious illness, so why not to adopt Natural living and Natural Healing Systems as our first step towards Health; ultimately Health is Happiness.

POSTURE IN MEDITATION

It is very important to be in a correct posture while meditating. It is also important to understand that meditating and sleeping are two different things. All successful meditation takes place in a mentally alert condition, and you are really focused in the act.

You may feel sleepy after meditation, and that, I feel is a good sign by itself. It is good to take a little rest or sleep after meditation.

The correct posture for meditation should ensure that your spine is erect, do not over strain to attain that position, but keep the spine straight in a natural manner. This posture is all the more important when you are meditating to manage internal or meditational energies, or when you are meditating for a spiritual purpose.

MEDITATING WITH SOUNDS OR MANTRAS

As you proceed further in this method of Meditation, you can start using Sounds (spiritual) or Mantras. When you are concentrated on any point/chakra or organ, you can use a mental repetition of a particular 'Mantra' or Sound.

The difference between 'Mantra' and Sound (spiritual).

A 'Mantra' is a particular sound created by use of certain letters or words, or their combination.
There are different ways to choose the 'Mantra' you wish to use.

As for the sounds, I would like to mention that all Higher Regions of Spirituality are known by a particular sound (spiritual), not by their names. The names we tend to use are only man made, governed by our linguistics.

For example the sound 'OM' in fact represents a particular spiritual region. Likewise different Spiritual Regions are known by their sounds. These sounds can effectively be used as 'Mantras', in fact they are more powerful than 'Mantras' in certain aspects. An understanding of these sounds becomes all the more important if you are meditating for the Soul. You must know the region/deity you are trying to come into contact, and you must be aware of the Sound relating to that region.

Next, I will try to give a detail of the Higher Spiritual Regions and their Sounds

RELAXATION

Though mediation is a mean for relaxing ourselves. The reverse is also true; if you are relaxed you will meditate better. I have developed a 'Healing For Relaxation'. This Healing for Relaxation is a very effective technique developed as a part of Natural Healing at our centre. For details please spare time to visit www.relaxationunderstanding.blogspot.com.

FURTHER MEDITATION

When you have started gaining proficiency in the practice of Energy Meditation, you can proceed further with more advancements in this technique.

These advancements can be in the direction of visualizations and repetition of any mantra or similar sound. Of course, you are required to repeat them mentally only and you are not to make any sound.

A very helpful visualization can be to visualize the form of the organs, liver(green), kidney(blue), heart(red), spleen(yellow) and lungs(white).

Next we would discuss regarding the repetition of mantras in detail

MEDITATION

Our soul and mind in this body are subjected to various pulls into the external world, through different senses. The soul and the mind are all the time pulled into some feeling or the other, relating to worldly affairs; for this reason they are both under a great restless stress. An effort to get farther from the thinking mind (ever active) and to bring some relaxation to the mind, body or to the soul is the real and sole purpose of the process of MEDITATION.

I would like to share my experiences with regard to meditation, as a Natural Healer and also with regard to my experiences in Higher Spirituality.

One has to clearly understand that the purpose of meditation for the body or the mind, is very different from the purpose of meditating for the soul. I have often found people confused between the two.

1. Meditation for Body or Mind.

The purpose of meditating for the body or the mind is meant to energize/relax (or both) the body or the mind (or both) and is more of a physical or mental exercise. Howsoever advanced you may become in these technique it can never be a meditation for the soul. Meditation for the body/mind is a one way traffic, directed through your physical and mental ability. It's success can be judged by the amount of relaxation/energization you get for the body or the mind. It can never, in any real sense reach the soul. The highest advancement that you can get from this type of meditation in the spiritual direction is the betterment of the pineal gland, that may strengthen your spiritual bend, but nothing more than that.

A very effective method, named as Energy Meditation, used at our centre (www.dkhcunderstanding.blogspot.com) is being given here:

Hold the fingers of each hand, one by one, for two minutes with the other hand. You have only to cup the fingers lightly, not to apply any pressure. Fix the attention at the tip of the finger you are holding, transfer the energy you are inhaling with the breath, to the finger, gradually sliding your attention to the root of the finger, when you reach the root of the finger, direct your mind to leave the energy there and gradually shift your attention to the tip of the finger, again repeating the operation. You may have a feeling of relaxation and subtlety of breath, and you may not feel like following the rhythm; do not worry about the rhythm, relax for a while and start again.

When you are done with all the ten fingers. Start with five internal organs, liver, (green) heart(red), kidney(blue), lungs(white) and spleen(yellow). While concentrating on these organs visualize these organs to be of the color mentioned against each of these organs. When you are fairly comfortable with the practice, you can start mental repetition of sounds connected to these organs, liver (shhhh), heart(Hau), kidney(chew), lungs(ssss) and spleen(whhoo). While inhaling and transferring the energy to a particular organ visualize the organ in its respective color and while exhaling, mentally repeat the respective sound, you have not to produce any sound loud.

When you are done with all the five organs. Shift your attention to the crown chakra (on the top of your head). Stay here for two minutes, transferring energy from your breath and leaving the energy there while exhaling. Then one by one, very slowly shift to the third eye chakra (between your eyes), then to the throat chakra (throat), heart chakra (solar plexus), navel chakra (navel), private part, root chakra (almost the centre of the nerve between your private part and the rectum), base of the spine, top of the spine, then to the top of the head again. You may end at the third eye or the navel chakra, as the case may be. If you are meditating for some spiritual advancement it is better to end up at the third eye, otherwise end up at the navel chakra.

After mastering the basic technique, you can develop further into managing your internal and meditational energies.

2. Meditation for the Soul.

The Mediation for the soul is very different, and it's success totally depends on the amount of contact you develop with some higher power. The meditation for the soul is a two way traffic, you move in one direction and the response comes from there 'Yes, I am here', then the two of you are together. Degrees and ways of this togetherness can be different depending on many many other factors, but by all means, meditation for the soul has to be two way traffic.

It is very important for the meditation of the soul that you have some definite divine power whom you are trying to establish contact with. The success of your meditation will depend on the degree of contact you are able to build up with that divine power. May be one day, you will find yourself in a position when your contact with that particular divine power becomes an effortless exercise.
